Well, I invited some friends from the Sackville Photography Club (where I am a member) to help me photograph the 2012 Herring Cove Polar Bear Dip. A friend of mine, the organizer, had asked me to photograph the whole event and I thought it was too much for just me so I invited some friends. :)
We set up a studio in the church hall and encouraged everyone to get a portrait shot done after they registered for the jump. Everyone had a small piece of the puzzle and I thought I'd share some of the shots I got from the "studio session". I learned a lot through this experience and had a lot of fun.
I'll post a link to the complete album after we all post our photos but here are a few to wet your whistle. :)

Iggy, you know the rules around here, if you are showing images of swimming, Marko requires bikinis!!
Great shots BTW

They're coming... they're coming... I wasn't at the dock this year so the bikinis didn't show up until later. You'll get to see a few when I post the link to the full set.
And thanks! :)

I set the album to public (though I also accepted the friend request) so everyone should be able to see it now.

It was fun to see your album! The age ranges were nice to! Brave souls to plop into such cold water!
Too much fun! Love the first photo!

Thanks, susan.
Thanks, kat. That first guy is my favourite too. This was his 18th annual polar bear dip and he's 77 years old.

I thought we were going to see the actual jump in the water and freeze ones bits off stuff.
