Another autumn day, another day out with the family, this time to Dunham Massey.

"Set in a magnificent 121-hectare (300-acre) deer park, this Georgian house tells the story of the owners and the servants who lived here. Discover the salacious scandals of the 7th Earl of Stamford, who married Catherine Cocks, a former bare-back circus rider"

Cool set, Richard! Love the little fences around each tree in the second photo. What is the purpose of that if any?

Nice dreamy feel to these! Number 1 for me :)

JAS I believe those fences are to stop deer from eating the bark of young trees (and killing them).

Thanks everyone

I'm glad you answered that, because I had no idea. There were some deers about that day, but I didn't have long enough reach with my lens to get any keepers.
