one of the first shots taken with my Mamiya m645 80mm f 2.8 using Ilford's Pan F Plus iso 50 120 film. Shot at 1/60 f8 using one Nikon speedlight (triggered wirelessly with a Cactus 4) and a 30" umbrella (reflective).
Processing called for 4.5 minutes at a 1+14 dilution - I developed it for almost 6 minutes

Nice tones and slight sepia effect.
Tell me though, when all this can be so easily achieved with digital these days, why go to all the trouble of dealing with film and the developing process etc?
Good question, let me see if I can articulate it:
- enjoying the entire creative process
- slowing down, having a limited number of shots makes you think more about what you are doing and how you will achieve it - not just point, shoot and edit
- a stronger connection to how we got where we are today with technology and process
- a drive to always keep learning, exploring and pushing myself
- having another "tool" in the box - don't like the concept of an all encompassing camera, like different lenses- each has it's unique features, strengths and idiosyncrasies
I'm sure there are more, just can't think of them.

And a good answer!
