To my surprise I found a black wolf across the street from where I have been working for the last week or so. I did see it a few days ago and assumed it was just a dog. Well today I had a closer look and talked to its owner. Her name is Billie and she is a 3 years old timber wolf. Technically you can't own a wolf but the breeder said there is some dog in there. The owner explained he didn't see any dogs where he got it. Anyways, she was totally friendly. Loved to get her ears and neck scratched through the chain link fence.

Needless to say I raddled off a ton of photos. This was the first time that I uploaded over 50 shots of a single subject to Flickr. What a great animal!

I like the 3rd shot. The falling snow is way cool.

Thank you! I was just over playing with her this morning. It was totally cool. She was making a whimpering sound so I tried to copy it. She then got louder and louder until she started howling. Very cool feeling patting a wolf while they howl. Then this afternoon a friend of the owner was in the pen. I asked if I could come in and he said yes. So I was able to play with her for like 15 minutes. She even licked me in the face a few times. A day I wont soon forget:) Reminds me of the day a Siberian tiger had my head in it's mouth. That's another story for another day.
