Love the golden water. What a strange sky combination.

Love the golden sky and water. I'm a bit surprised that the boats are still in the water this late in the season.

Thanks asnow. They are taking them out, as you can see one already has it's mast down. It take a few weeks to get them all out as there are not many places to lift them out.

They take them out so the ice doesn't crush them yes??
That doesn't happen anywhere in Australia at all :)

Way cool colours XP!........but the sky is overblown as mentioned.
Graduated neutral density filter would have made these images sing much louder.
They are as essential as tool as a polarizer (if you regularly shoot landscapes and you like the sky in your shots).

Yes, the ice will crush anything in the water come spring when it starts moving.
Thanks Marko.
I have ordered a variable ND filter, can't wait to try it out.

It's a good filter for movement effects but it will NOT help you here as the whole thing is the same shade across the frame.
A GRADUATED ND is what u need. darker on top (so it holds back the sky) that fades to clear on the bottom.
