Stopped by the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robbins,GA today for an hour before they closed to play around instead of sitting in Atlanta rush hour. If you ever find yourself headed down I-75 through GA and have an interest in planes I highly recommend stopping by here. I have been several times and have yet to check out everything they have.

Thanks. I wanted to see how it would work out, especially since museums always have such great lighting, lack of mostly!

Excellent work, love the toning in those images. One could spend hours in there, methinks.

Thanks. Easily many hours, and then you come out and realize there are acres of planes outside!

Wow, these are very 3 dimensional. I never thought of shooting HDR indoors. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing.

I guess I'm spoiled. The hangar doors are open fairly regularly at the local museum. Interesting way of dealing with low lighting. It gives it a surreal feel to it.

Thanks again. I would be spoiled to, unfortunately this is the closest air museum I have for now. Rumor has it though they are going to build one at Dobbins AFB next to Lockheed Martin which is right near my office.

Extreme HDR. It works here.

I find HDR works very well indoors and when including manmade subjects, it comes into it's own for this 'image' feel to photography. Of course you throw out the real feel.

Interestingly, there's a thread on WIX from February of 2010 indicating the project died and at least some of the planes were disbursed to their original bases. Perhaps the project is being revived?

Haven't been able to turn up anything more recent.

Something from February of this year! http://www.dobbins.afrc.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123242463 Maybe this is what you were hearing about?

Found the website for it and looks like it is up and running with a small collection. It's just down the road from my office so I need to try and swing by one day when I am by there for some reason.
