Found this about 35km from any civilization at all, beside a lake that we were checking out for Aurora Trout. There is a logging road nearby, but this thing has been here awhile, I think.

Awhile?? That thing has just about decomposed back to dirt. I bet it has a story. Nice find.

I always wonder, too, especially when the road has filled in so much as to be hard to find.
