I haven't stalked it for a while.

Wow, it's coming right along, isn't it. When can we sneak on the elevator to the top? Great shots both. Love the flag in the first.

Thanks, Mike. The flag shot is taken from the police station and there is all sorts of construction and obstacles nearby, but I liked the flag right there. As far as riding to the top, it's going to be awhile. One of the construction foremen kicked me off the sidewalk next to the Old Fire Hall. So it's hard to even get close let alone in. I think he was overstepping his authority though because if I stepped one step to the right I would have been on the Hertz Rentals property and they had all their cars parked right there.

We can really see the character of this building now. Quite unique.

It's a real beauty, M.A. Here is the uncropped version of that photo:

For modern architecture it seems like a well planned and thought out design. Nice shots of it.

Thanks, Acadie! If you are a fan of modern architecture, you probably have heard of Foster and Partners who designed the building. They also did the famous Hearst Building in Manhattan which integrates the old with the new.

I like a city with some pizzazz about it's architecture. Brisbane is dead boring in this respect, but 1 hrs drive south to the Gold Coast and you easily spend days shooting cool buildings.

Nice design and at least you do save the facade of the original.
