Welcome back, mellowinman! Been a while since you dropped by (or at least posted). And you've come bback with a very lovely image to boot! :thumbup:

Not sure what you see on your monitor but the "painting" you've done to hide the people in the back is visible on the monitor I'm currently using and it looks a little rough. Also, I think I would have loved to have seen the people behind her to tell the complete story.

The bride looks good and I'm sure she will love this photo. I would have liked to have seen sharper eyes or a sharper bouquet, but the bride will be happy.

Here's the less processed version. I liked putting her in a more fantasy element, with some diffused glow. I will have to adjust my monitor, as I still only see black. I will do both versions when I deliver the photos, as I often do. I have more of the actual toss, and another angle, as my wife shoots these weddings with me.

Very nice shot and good processing. I only see a black background also in the first post.

I think your idea to hide the background was good as it's way too underexposed to be useful here, I think. Keep the glow which looks cool but you might just want to work a bit to more completely hide the background. Instead of painting in the colour, use the scissors tool to isolate the background as a selection then you can just turn it completely black. What are you using to edit your images? Maybe I can help find a good tutorial.

I use this lousy, cheap, crappy program called Photoshop CS4. Just kidding; my problem was with the monitor. I ended up with this:

Let me know if I got it or not. They still haven't gotten their photos, because they haven't paid yet. I don't usually do jobs without up front payment, but this was an exception, and I knew something like this would happen. I will collect, I guarantee it, and I will deliver great photos. It's kind of nice getting all this extra time.
