I was walking along the river when I saw these. Someone had done this all along the shore.

Really great capture, unfortunately the harsh, flat light isn't your friend. This one would be well worth reshooting earlier in the day or later in the evening. I'm also wondering if from a composition point of view if it might not be better shot from a position farther to image left so that the LH edge of the image was parrallel to the shoreline?

I agree with T.I. here.
If you shot RAW, maybe there is enough info to recover some of the blown highlights.

Is this in Stanley Park in Vancouver? If so, I passed by these stones about 2 months ago..but didn't shoot many them because it was too bright.

No, it's the Bow River pathway in Calgary near Princes Island Park. The rock balancing phenomenon seems to be a fad. :) And no, I did not shoot raw, sorry. I do not know my way around light room well enough yet to use that. I will try to go back again. Hopefully they will still be there. It's an odd thing but they do seem to produce some sort of calming aura.

I wonder if they are really balancing anyway or if they are just stuck together by a piece of gum. :p
