I have a client requesting a nude or semi nude photoshoot. She is wishing to do it at my home which is fine by me because I do not have a studio.... I do natural light photography only at this point. She is aware of my skill set/level and the lack of lighting... she is all good for it and has seen my work and wants to go with it... cool by me. So any advice/tips/lighting suggestions/ posing suggestions?

my sis-in-law actually just got some very tasteful semi-nudes done at a friends studio. its a gift for her hubbys bday. she used beautiful sarongs (sp?) and fabric pieces to wrap her in. also a mans white dress shirt. with nada underneath. she did this, as i said, in a studio, so there was a swing (like a rope & wooden base one) that she posed on. she also used a bed and a wooden chair. i would google pics online to get some ideas if it were me... you may want to practice near windows or other locations in your home also, to test lighting situations etc. to put your friend at ease, give her a shot of tequila at the start and put on some funky music! lol - good luck & have fun!!

you have a lucky brother....

op - if ur not using any off camera flash make sure you have a reflector to help you ....... soft lighting is key here.. and a minimal of distractions.... this might be tough in your house....

you could experiment using a ladder to get some topgraphical shots and put her on the bed.... try also getting tight shots on curvey part... ( and pose her curvey)..

afterward.... skin smoothing is your friend... nudes with cottage cheese in the typical areas are not desirable.... they become especially hightlighted with harsh lighting.....

good luck...

if we lived close I'd offer to hold the reflector....

Thats hilarious!

She is an absolutly beautiful model as well! I'm sure I will come away with some really wonderful shots. :fingerscr I am very lucky that she chose me to take the pics... I can't wait.

I will try the lighting situations tonight and google some poses... when you mentioned sarongs and fabric, I already visualized some good ones, :lightbulb thanks :)
