Very cool. Nicely done ... love the soft fell and colour to the sky. Is there a stream that outlets into that bay to cause that feature/channel?

Thanks everyone for the comments.
MA - The channel is formed by one of the many small rivers that flows into the Severn Estuary around here. Because this part of Somerset is so low lying all the outlets are controlled by large sluice gates to avoid flooding as we have one of the largest tidal ranges in the world along this stretch of coast, hence the depth of the mudlats!

Wow lovely comp here - very cool!
This might be an unconventional suggestion but I wonder if cropping the sky a bit might make the composition even more dynamic. Just a thought - very cool shot either way.

very nice image; has a pinkish hue to it on my monitor, and i am not sure if this is just me or? This would have worked very well as a HDR shot, to punch the colours of the boats a bit more ...
