Saw the sunlight on these trees as the sun was going down.

Trying for an abstract look.

Definitely the BW version for me. The HDR effect in the colour one makes it look like a graphic.

they're both lovely for different reasons. The light shows better in the color shot, it's soft and lovely in trees isn't it? The monochrome though is more powerful; the pattern and lines are the image here, not the light. Well seen no matter which one you prefer.

Edited to add because I thought I did the first time around. I don't get an abstract feel from this at all because it's really a literal photo. If you want abstract, try cropping to an extreme. I think that will give you what you want.
