I haven't been taking a lot of photos lately because my husband and I have been busy with a renovation. We purchased an 18 acre hobby farm so that I can have my horse at my property and so we can have some space. :) The house is about 90 years old and needed some work. The main floor has taken the most work because the upstairs is done.
So we've been going from this:

to this:

new support beam on this floor and the basement so the house won't collapse:

then drywall

last weekend we spent our days priming and painting. Here is the result:

I wanted a light and sunny colour which I think I achieved :). the house is very small so I didn't want to close the rooms in by dark colours

upstairs we needed to install a shower in the bathroom because all it had was a toilet and vanity. No way am I going downstairs every morning to shower. I think originally this room was a bedroom converted to a bathroom. So we took out the closet, built a wall out and installed a shower.

in the spring we are replacing the old vinyl siding. my plan is that it will be cranberry with white trim :)
I have to hand it to my husband. He's been doing almost all the work. We hired professionals to do the electrical & plumbing.
so that's what I've been doing. And working full time. And riding my horse, walking the dogs and curling. ::) Sometimes I am overly ambitious.

Thanks Marko and HBG!

oh yes! the plans are drawn up. it will be behind the house, with the same roof line and colour. Funnily enough it will be bigger then our house :) . Three box stalls and a tack room. There's an older, dug well that will serve it quite well. The horse will also get a buddy :)
Which room is mine then?? ;)
Looks excellent!
thanks MA. Here is the room you get when you come for a visit. It's a small room but not as small as the photos make it appear.
