Hi everyone!

I thought I would introduce myself here. I am a 28 year old married female who enjoys taking pictures. I would love to have the innate talent for photography but I will settle for basic knowledge :D

My husband gave me a Nikon D40X for Christmas and I have only recently began really experiment with different settings. I also joined project 365 so I would have a reason to take more pictures. I am on day 5 and already wanting to learn more.

I hope to learn here from you all and hopefully share some of my pictures for constructive criticism.

What is this project 365? Obviously taking a photo a day, but more details :)

I'm glad to see another Nova Scotian on here! Thanks for the welcome. :)

As for project 365, I found it on this site (http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/) It seems like quite an undertaking but I am looking forward to its completion.

I have a photo blog on photoblog.com but people post everywhere. I am learning more about it myself but I'm hoping what will come out of it is a bit more creativity on my end as well as learning about my camera.

Welcome to the Forum, I have seen the 365 project before considered doing it but ....
I am hoping I can stick to it. With my absent mind, I have already almost forgotten to take a pic and I am only on day 6. Doesn't bode well for my performance :D

Marko, I love your quote in your signature. I am hoping practice will make me a better photographer and I am always nervous that I don't have that certain "something" so hopefully it will be something I can learn. I know I will never be a pro but to be able to take nice pictures would make me so happy!
