I was shooting some rapids the other day and made these with slow shutter shooting fall trees in a circular motion...

How do you critique abstract?

i dont know how to critique it either, so 'll just say that these things look like the kind you see in an art gallery, way over-priced. ;) i think they're cool... i'd use it for backgrounds for sure.

NIce shots and creativity:highfive:

These are harder to critique it's true - but here goes anyway ;)

I like these shots but I think they can be improved. For me shots like this are mostly about the beautiful colour.

Shot 1 - All the reddish ambery green tones are lovely - the darkness on the bottom is a bit of a distraction to my eye.

Shot 2 - The best of the 3 IMO. The light purply squiggles at the top mid right and right corner are distractions for me and I'd likely burn them down or clone them out. But this really works for me. Give it an esoteric title and slap a 1,000 dollar price tag on it. :D

Shot 3 - Lovely tones but a bit too abstract for my taste. Again the sqiggle at top mid right.

Hope that helps,

Marko

I love, love, love these! I love the movement, the color, the softness, the creativity. Absolutely, lovely!

I think these are all great abstracts. Each reminds me of the work of Freeman Patterson.
