Hi members,
Just wanted to let you know that I'm out of town until Sunday with a lousy Internet connection which is why I have been absent from the board lately.
I should have some cool shots when i return as I'm photographing in the Rockies on a photo tour with Darwin Wiggett. I'm mostly a portrait guy so photographing landscapes with a pro like Darwin is a real treat.
Thanks everyone!
Marko
Can I say "JEALOUS"! I am so jealous beyond words. Enjoy every moment of it, look forward to photos when you get back!

I'm back and the photo tour was friggen AWESOME! It was mostly around Banff national park but we did get up to Jasper national park as well.
Some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen in Canada. I am super-juiced to process some of these photos. My only regret is that I did not have more time. 4 days is nothing....

I lived in Calgary for over 50 years and there was something new to see during every trip to the mountains. I'm sure it's the same in all our areas around the world. Sometimes we just get too accustomed to what we have and don't see things until they slap us in the face for a wakeup.

a VERY good point andrew...but part of it I really do believe IS location based. In the city we have all these ugly distractions...In the rockies I found FAR fewer distractions. IMO this makes composing easier.....but you are so right I kept getting slapped in the face possibly because I was purposely there to photograph and my eyes were wide open.

This was really just a photo tour as opposed to 'instruction'. That said Darwin was more than happy to share tips and answer any and all questions in the field where he shot along with us.....and record another podcast with me :)

We are all jealous and will probably be even more so when we see your pictures.
