Here's the same hillside by the dam, but down below and without the tower. I tramped around a bit down there looking for good foreground framing elements and found them. The color is past peak, I suspect those nude trees were red last week, but I still like the golden glow.

Thanks guys - the light was kind on Thursday.

Am heading back to this pond today for a closer look. I suspect this is the best foliage left, but what the heck.

This also very nice, however I'm not sure why, I think I prefer the original with the tower.

Thanks peeps. No fall color today...at least not much. But I did find milkweed pods and mushrooms.
