I went again at the "crime scene" :D but tried a different angle.
Would you think that this one would work better in HDR ?

Nice shot, gotta love large bodies of water on calm nights like this. I'd say no to the HDR, looks great as is. But it's always worth a try!

I'd say 'no' to HDR. I love the ball and the reflection. My only nits are that I would cut out some of the sky and some of the right too- the ball is too centred.

Perfect assessment of a wonderful capture. Just to the right of the violet streak before the trees come in heavy and enough of the sky to move the skyline into the top third of the image I think or close to it.

This is wonderful just the way it is but a slightly different composition would make it sing a little louder methinks.

I would say I prefer the second shot, the glowing ball, seems to raw ones eyes to it,s and for me this works much better not being centre frame.

Regarding the second image, I'd be tempted to crop out the building on the left. I find that it's competing for the viewers attention.

I also think that there's too much symmetry in the image currently...four similar buildings flanked by two different ones. I understand that some would be drawn to this.

Why not try a 16 x 9 crop eliminating the left building just for fun.

Peace
Peter

I agree with Bambi. Very nice shot, well executed.
