First of all,I did not take these images. I am judging a photowalk and I am torn between these two. Both have elements that I love. What do you think?

Based on instant appeal and originality, I pick the flags. The second is pretty as well but it seems tilted to me. Of course the flags being bigger could be a biasing factor but based on first impressions, the first one all the way!

The first one shows some vision as not many people would think to take the shot from that angle. I have noticed people often lean on patriotism to carry them that extra last mile which makes me wary of this shot. Regardless I find this one more technically correct and interesting due to the chosen vantage point.

What the heck is all that white stuff in the second photo? Are those apple blossoms or something? I do wish the image was larger. It's hard to compare the two side by side with such a size difference. The second looks like it may have a lot of blown highlights and be a bit soft on the focus so from a technical standpoint it lacks something.

Thanks for all of the opinions !!! and taking time to comment.
I wish I could post a larger version of the second one:(

The second one was taken with an infrared filer and the channels switched in photo shop. They are just trees with green leaves..

I have to agree that the vision on the second one was spectacular and the lens selection was perfect.

Thanks again !!

Another vote for the originality of the flag shot. The 2nd shot, while appealing, isn't particularly great in composition or other aspects really.

The flag photo is very creative. The infrared of the bridge lacks solid composition.
