As it seems like most of my uk Summer holidays, we made it to beach, but it wasn't really what you would call a beach day. And will the kids played in the water (in their wetsuits) I tried to capture the weather.

Rather bleak looking. You captured it nicely though.

Thanks Ma, I think bleak sums it up. I should have booked my holiday two weeks earlier when we had better weather. (I must be a typical Brit moaning about the weather).

Far as I can tell ... everyone is a typical Brit then because people seem to complain about their own weather all over the world :)

But the overcast gives such wonderful color to the rocks closest to the walk.
Is there a story behind the name? I keep picturing honeybees with halos flying around.

quite a neat picture of the beach. Did you get some of the kids in their suits?

Thanks guys,
I'm not on the history of the place, but I didn't see any honey farms close by.
Bambi, my wife asked me the same question... I wasn't keen on changing lens on the beach it was way to dusty and windy, and it was a bit of a walk back to the car, so most of the time I had my 18-55 on camera which isn't that great for portraits. I did get this one on a previous day though.
