Hi friends,
i am newbie in photography. i recently worked in San diego these are pictures from there. Please comment on these , i know i have to improve my skills a lot :-)

my non critical eye that i am trying to develop says that the first ones horizon should be straighter. A little down sloped. I like both tho.:)
edit : on the bottom one, I would place the boy off center, maybe in the lower left hand third.

I like shot 2 and agree with TT's comment on the repositioning of the boy. I like the tones in this image and the movement in the water. That movement suggests a slow shutter speed with no tripod which is why the shot isn't sharp. I think you got lucky though...it works in this case.
If this were my shot I'd simply crop it from a bit before the left edge of whatever type of platform the boy is using as a boat all the way to the right side. I'd also play with cropping out some sky and/or water.
Play is the word here. It needs to be cropped but the exact cropping is left to your play session so long as it works with the composition.
