Great image again, 3J. Question: if you were to print this one out, what kind of paper would you use? Some photorag? Canvas? Matte, gloss? Just curious, since I am starting to delve into the printing thing.

Hi Matt I probably would print this on a matte paper as it already has that canvas look - jimmy :)

You are creating some very interesting and creative textures in your images. Would it be possible to give some "technical" details regarding the methods used to achieve these, for ex. the canvas effect? Or this is something that is not shared usually....

Hi light50
I would be glad to tell you. First off I have several textures you can download on my Flickr Stream. The "Tent Canvas textures give your photo a painted on canvas look. Listed below are other FREE texture providers.
Skeletalmess (Jerry Jones) his textures are the best

Thanks, 3J .... I kinda thought a art paper would suit it best, then again, maybe the texture would not enhance the image. May I ask what brand of paper you use? I tired the HP matte and high gloss, and I am quite happy with it.

Well, I have never used textures before therefore wasn't sure how to approach the subject. I know that Ps has the texturizer tool... I assume that one downloads the texture and then applies it by using PS.....:headslap:
Thank you for answering my question...

Hi Light50
I never heard of the texturizer tool. Here is how I add a texture.
- Open your chosen photo in Photoshop (it will become your background layer)
- Next, open the texture photo you want to apply - do a > Select All > Edit Copy > Edit Paste.
_ now size your texture (if you have to) ,to cover your background layer.
-Last try the different blending modes in your Layers Palette. ( I like Multiply or Soft Light, then adjust the opacity using the sliders to tone down the effect.
- Last, save your finished image.
I hope this helps. Don't hesitate to ask questions if my explanation is not clear - jimmy
