Det. Larry, vice squad

Groan.

This is another of my feline trio - Larry. He is also a rescue (different shelter), but possesses his entire arsenal of teeth and claws (dig those tiny feet). Because he wasn't neutered until he was an adult, he's a bruiser of a cat - muscular and strong as hell. Mostly though he likes to cuddle and sleep on pillows. Rough life. I'm sort of glad Thomas likes to whack him in the head once in a while. Keeps him awake.

Gorgeous as he is though, he's a right pain to photograph well. High ISO, big apertures, slow shutter speeds - flash is no good until I can get one with a diffuser. Anyway...he sat still long enough for this one (my workbench is a favorite hangout).

Cute face:) I generally bounce my flash off the ceiling for a nice even light, either that or I use the Gary Fong Cloud thingy.

Black is a hard colour to shoot. My black cat Mini has only a handful of well exposed shots due to her colouring.

Nope, he enjoys catnip, annoying Chuck (the 3rd cat and elder statesman) and occasionally escaping outside to eat grass and barf. Joy.
