I do. Perfect title for this image: once all was nice and polished, but now the paint is peeling ... so the fathers should have taken more care of it. I like it, well done.

Just out of curiosity: are you familiar with Eliza Gilkyson ( Eliza Gilkyson (http://www.elizagilkyson.com/) )? I bet you'd love her lyrics ... especially "The Party's Over" ... you can listen to it for free here ==> Eliza Gilkyson on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads (http://www.myspace.com/elizagilkyson) very powerful song ...

Hey Matt. I like your interpretation but, I am sorry, mine is more cynical. The old decaying door represents the church. When I first laid eyes on that neglected door I saw a cross. I saw across and it made me sad. Thus "the sins of the fathers" title. I hope I haven't offended anyone. If so I apologize. It's just the way I feel about all the known wrongdoing that has gone on for years and is only now being reluctantly addressed - jimmy

Hey thanks Peter, I hope my explanation to Matt hasn't changed your opinion of this photo - jimmy :)

Wow, 3J. Quite insightful, really. You do seem to favour the more sinister side of life - what made you so cynical? Sorry, rhetorical question. We all could learn from the results of apathy or turning away. Maybe we should make this a theme for a month. Decay of Society. How about October for that theme?

Matt, perhaps age makes one more cynical. I just don't know. I saw the cross in that old door. I saw the many, many young kids abused by those who advise and preach to others! Sorry if I offend anyone but that is how I feel. On a somewhat lighter note Decay of Society sounds like an interesting theme for October
