:sorry: I posted something similar some time ago but I worry for our progeny. Every time I view it I want to post it again. I worry for our sons and daughters !
Wow, it like this most so far of yours. The texture doesn't dominate it is merely part of the photo. Way cool scene and composition as well. Fits very well.

Took me a while to figure out what it was ... and maybe that is a good thing. Being a high tech piece of equipment shown in an 'past' fashion makes me think you jumped into the year 2050 with that image. I suppose someone recouperating the print might find it in such a condition and wonder what it was our generation was trying to achieve (or not). I really like the way you present your images, 3J; very artistic and full of expression.:highfive:
I also worry for the next generation, very much so. But ya know, they have to work it out like we had to work things out. Not much different.

Matt, if you call what I do art, then I think all art is subjective. I wanted to create a foreboding image. That's all. Unsustainable use of fossil fuels, I fear, will be our doom. Will wind power and renewable energy save us or does BIG OIL rule! - jimmy
well done JJJ message recieved

Of course art is subjective, Jimmy, but without it interpretation of current events would suffer a tremendous blow. Where would we be as a society without voices like Dylan, artists like Picasso (Guernika) or authors like Orwell for example?
Your foreboding image does just that: it shows a fragile alternative. BIG OIL, BIG MONEY, this world seems to be all about BIG POWER. If we could convince society to change from a "want base" to a "need base" we would all be much better off. Unfortunately BIG MONEY indoctrinates us with "wants" all the time.:wall-an::shrug:
