    Default P-51 "free fly" day

nice weather for a change today, so i scooted over to a local airfield to watch a free flight demo of some restored WWII P-51 fighters. i'm not a huge fan of the Mustangs... there's just too many of 'em around for me to be that impressed - but they were fun to watch nonetheless. and it reminded me how out of practice i am at high-speed panning! :( still, i did manage a few good shots... all with 40D and 100-400 @ various focal lengths and settings..

Agree with MA here, they are all excellent, but that last one is spectacular. Really gives the viewer a feel for the speed with the earthly background involved in the scene.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

I'm a big fan of the second last one. I really like the bright red and the sun flare on the canopy.

    Wonderful set!
