quite an effective shot, especially for being hand-held in such low light! this would be a great candidate for HDR... if you'd like, i can give a quick pass thru ReDynaMix, just to give you an idea of how it'd look. ReDynaMix isn't as clean and doesn't produce the same quality results as, say, Photomatix, but it does serve fairly well for "quick-n-dirty" HDR processing, to decide whether an image is worth further effort...
Very lovely. I love churches..they are so beautiful!
thank you!
squirl-sure, have a go at it! can't wait to see what you get!
okay... here ya go... it's just a quickie run through ReDynaMix, and could be done better using Photoshop and Photomatix, but this should give you an idea of how the original could look with HDR processing...

I prefer the original, the second version looks digitally altered and I am a minimalist at heart when it comes to photo manipulation. Gorgeous photo and I would leave it be....
I do not always know but in this case it just looks it, not trying to be difficult but it is just my opinion which is worth pretty much nothing lol .....
no worries. HDR is not everyone's cuppa tea. personally, i see it as a tool to be used to help when the "natural" lighting doesn't produce the exposure i want. i certainly don't shoot with the intention of using it, except on rare occasions.
i'm sure i could have made this photo more natural-looking had i spent more time on it, but as i mentioned, this was just a quickie processing job to show the potential...
thanks for taking the time to do that, squirl!
