Went for a walk lunch time today and thought I'd try my hand at the old Town Clock here in Halifax as I really hadn't gotten any good shots of it yet. Here are a couple of my results.

Nice set Iggy ! - Please recrop shot 1 for me... please.:)
Experiment by cropping off at least 2 inches then continue the play downward.
nice job! your downtown looks a lot like mine - with the river!
Thanks!
And, cool. My "river" is a harbour though. I'm on the Atlantic Ocean!
Here you go. I think maybe you were right. I'm kinda liking this one a bit more.

I like this crop better iggy - and if you crop even further south, perhaps to just under the cloud on the right edge, you'll like it even better.
There's a dynamic aspect to this image due to the sloping grass. The more you crop off the top, the more you notice it. Hope that helps - Marko
I tried but it wasn't working for me. Here's a link to the RAW image: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/1068102/IMG_4309.CR2 would you be interested in showing me?
Cool composition in this image Ig...well done!
I too really dig the sloping grass...it frames the shot in a really different and cool way.
It's so personal, but here is my suggested crop.
Thx - Marko
Marko that crop totally works... My eye sees the cool clouds in the background!
Really brings out the detail in an already brilliant image Iggy!
I agree! Thanks!
It is a personal thing as we just discovered in Rumblebuffin's Palette. I am getting to the point where I'm less concerned about the technical aspects (I know I'm still far from perfect) but I'm more interested in the idea of finding my own style or voice. It's good to have input on the more subjective areas as I find it helps me understand myself better. Thanks!
