The Eaton Centre
Decided to go out and try out my new 7D. It was a crappy dull white sky so I decided that outdoor pictures wouldn't be so great. Went to the Eaton Centre to see and maybe get a picture of this controversial Christmas tree that's been on the news. I sure didn't make easy on myself. I really had to push the 7D to the limit. I was worried that security might not take too kindly about me shooting pictures in the mall, so I didn't didn't want to press my luck in taking and using a tripod. I therefore had to crank up the ISO so I could hand hold. In hind-site it probably would of been no problem. I guess they are used to it as this may be considered one of Toronto's tourist attractions. A lot of people were taking pictures.
Because of the amount of dynamic range I tried HDR but that didn't work out at all. Anyway here is what I came up with.

Those are cool! That tree is controversial? Shaa... Our (former) Eaton's Center now referrred to as "The Core", has similar glass ceiling. I need to get down there soon as well.

#3 works for me,minus the lights right of nose, interesting shot

Is that a real tree inside of the rainbow lights?

Thanks GJK. MA, Realist.
GJK - If I knew Photoshop better I would have removed those lights right of the nose. Tried what I could in Lightroom but couldn't get rid of them. Yea - gave it another try and now successful.
Realist - No just more of the crystally looking trunk.

I like the angled reindeer. The tree - it's not particularly interesting to me, but people are fussing about it?
-
Thanks Q1. Some people are fussy about the traditions of Christmas and want to see a real tree.

Nicely doen Asnow. Likin that reindeer.
As for the tree. I can see the controversy as it does not send out any Christmas like vibes. Cool piece of artwork , but no festive feel here from it.
