    Default Airplane on a stick

(The reason for our nickname of Lakeview Park)

This is what remains of F-89 Scorpion. It was the US's first all-weather jet interceptor. Mike recently talked to a pilot that had flown one in active duty. He said that you could go up to high altitude, point it straight down and go to full power, and it still wouldn't go supersonic. Rather a rare airplane these days. This one is gutted and contains mostly nesting pigeons.
