Very nice captures of hard to photograph, (black), birds.

Great shots, Greg. I have a silly question: I noticed also in most of my shots that one wing is sharp as a tack, and the other one has motion blur on it. Is it just the way the bird flapps the wings that causes that, or is there some light at play?

First off, Greg, that's a couple of great shots.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest it's a depth of field thing. I see in Greg's second shot the closer wing is fairly sharp but the one farther away is a bit blurry. It looks to me like as wonderful as this shot is, the depth of field was off by just a bit.
