Very lovely PP..always wonder how this is done!
I'd like to know too! It looks like a painting.
I'm lovin' this one JJJ! Great stuff!
Hi casil, Bambi and kat. Thanks, glad you enjoyed this pic. This photo is actually a composite. I took a FREE texture from Flickr's member SkeletalMess and combined it or layered it with a shot of starlings that I captured when they were directly over head. I played with the opacity of the layers to achieve the final result. Check out the FREE textures below

Ohhh..I never thought of that!
SkeletalMess photo stream has some wonderful work in it! I love that look!
Thank you!
Hey kat, just Google "How to use layers in Photoshop" or similar words and you will find much info on the subject. It's fun - jimmy
Can these "textures" be purchased from a program or something? The ones he has..all great..are quite small in size.
I would love to have a set of them..and nope..I would never be able to create them!! LOL..
Thanks!
Hi kat. The ones he has are small but I use them all the time. When you open one of his textures you simply do a SELECT ALL > EDIT COPY > then minimize the texture > and last EDIT PASTE.
His texture will show small size, so now, just go to menu and do an EDIT > TRANSFORM > SCALE. Now you can make his texture fit your photo and then use the opacity slider for the texture layer to fade or strengthen his texture. Hope this helps.
Just Google "free textures" and you will find thousands for sale. I have never purchased textures, there are so many FREE ones on the net. I will include a link for some of my personal FREE textures. You are welcome to download and use them Well good luck kat and take care - jimmy
