Recovery

This guy was being chased by another Gull at high speed so he pulled straight up and totally stalled. The guy chasing him was fooled and went straight on by. I missed the stall but was reasonably ready for his recovery...And this is it!

Man, how you guys get these shots just slays me! do you use a high shutter speed and tripod?

No tripod but shutter speed of 1/1000 sec. Generally I like to shoot shots like this at no less than 1/500. ISO was 100 and aperture f7. If the gull was hanging on a string I might use a tripod:)
