In my previous hummingbird post I wrote an explanation of the setup but this time I thought I would post a picture. So here is a quick pic I took with my iphone to show the setup. I actually took this setup while photographing the last image with the juvenile and the red petunia.
I am a little hesitant to show this out of embarrassment because of the state of our deck (the stain we put on it sucks!) As well, I took over my wife's flower planter and put flowers in it that I could grow to be used in these pictures so they aren't exactly the prettiest things in the world and the random apple tree branch sticking up out of it I use to capture some perched shots of various birds (the bark and moss on it looks great in pictures )
I rarely use the bottom flash, 580exII, but I do occasionally when I'm getting shadows that I don't like. So usually its just a 4 flash setup.
