Fowl at Frank Lake
Located near High River, Alberta, Frank Lake benefits from the recent rains and is full of bird-life of all sorts. There is a wooden blind in place for observation and photography and some of the birds will come fairly close to the shore without fear. These are photos from a Sunday journey. It was quite a still day so the water reflections are interesting. These were all shot at 400mm on my 7D. Some are birds I had not seen before and had to look up in my Audubon Society book to identify.

Very nice set. Quite a variety of birds. There are a couple I have never knew were in Alberta! Well done.

All are nice, but the White Faced Ibis is exceptional.

Nicely done on every one, especially from what looks like some challenging lighting. Really like that Ibis, and the pose on the Blackbird.
