Thanks Mike, Marko. These were taken at Reptillia, just north of Toronto near Canada's Wonderland.

Which one of these do you you prefer? I may enter one of these in our camera clubs nature challenge. I like the the second one better for the angle, but I would have preferred a little more DOF to get the nose more in focus. Therefore I'm leaning towards the first one.

I like them all ... but I'd lean towards #1 myself as well

Thank Runmonty, HBG MA. These were taken with a rented 24-105 L lens so you can guess then how close I was to him (pictures were not cropped). I would estimate no more that 2 meters.

Through glass or a fence? I would hope so. Not sure if your gators are similarly as quick as our Crocs (bet they are) then they'll outrun a man over the first 30 metres.
