Nervous Snowy
Been trying to get close to this immature male Snowy for awhile, but have only managed these few distant shots.
Closest one....

...as this is what he usually does.

Beatiful captures. Tough make stand out against the snow.
-
Beautiful set. Shot 1 is Fab! (Sharpness, colour, composition, exposure all well done)
-
Beautiful set, really dig that first one...
-
Beautiful captures. Love all of them but especially number 1.
-
All are nice but really bang on with the second one, s very cool capture and great shot.
-
Thanks all. Just hoping he stays in area long enough to get some closer shots yet,
-
That first one is excellent. I like how he looks transparent in the second and third one as his feathers blend in perfectly with the snow.
-
Very nice - another vote for the first one
-
Thanks Iggy, and Runmonty, and yes is always a challenge to capture in all the white stuff.

Great stuuf Hbg!! I like that 2nd one bigtime. The white feathers blend in to the background and seem to leave some of the black spots just hanging there. Nice!
-
That 1st shot is a beauty. I normally like it best when birds are resting on more 'natural' perches, but the lines and shapes in the post and cable, and your composition really add to this image. Nicely done!

Such a pretty fellow! Love that first one, HBGirl!

Very nice work HBG. These photos really show us how well camouflaged these birds are in the snow.

The first shot is especially beautiful. The color and sharpness of that particular shot is dead on. The other are good as well, though I would actually like to have seen the background in focus, just for contrast’s sake.

Thanks again to all, and glad you enjoyed.
Bucket. Last thing I would want to do with a white subject against a white background is having background in focus.
