To the victor go the spoils

Last night I stepped out the back door, and saw this wasp finishing its battle with the spider. It then carried the spider vertically up a 2 metre steel fence before disappearing. Attachment 14634 Attachment 14633

I thought I had better leave out the part where the wasp keeps the spider alive (but paralysed) as a receptacle for its eggs!!!

Nice shot but I have to admit that I'm glad we don't have spiders and wasps like that where I live.
