Turkey Vultures

These were riding the thermal winds at the top of a mountain I climbed today.

Love the detail in the feathers in that first shot!!!

Gotta agree with MA on that first shot. But dang that head and face is something only a mother could love!

Excellent shots on both Turns, and as said, perfect detail in feathers.
I would have to say I am more impressed with the detail you got from second shot. Amazing work, as it is shadowed against that sky.

I'm really liking the second one also. Great catch Turns...they are so fun to watch soar....I remember from my times on the Island. :)

Amazing shots! I love 'em both. That second one must have been flying over a reflector! Of course, if you were on top of a mountain (I'd love to see the pano shot you took ;) ) then maybe the ground was white and reflective?
