    Default Little yellow flutterbyes

For the first shot I was on the ground with my tripod and 105 macro lens when I noticed I was covered in ANTS!

Thanks MA...I don't think these were biting ants, they seemed more like the kind that establish base in your kitchen and run regular "sweet stuff" patrols. Out in the Canadian jungles you just can't afford to take chances

I can take you two steps outside my back door and stir up some Green Ants that will leave you with tears in your eyes if they sting a soft spot on your body!

Nice shots of these flutterbys. That last shot is my fav as well. We have a bit of a fire ant issue in my area but luckily I have yet to be bitten.

All three are nice shots but the last is really cool! He looks all "fluffed" up in the white flower center.

Ooooh didn't realize you guys had Fire Ants there as well. We also have them in some suburbs in Brisbane. We have a strong eradication team that is constantly loosing the battle to control them
