Took a few shoot before I got one where he was still enough. Just caught my interest so decided to try.
Just look at those pollen baskets - they're bursting! I like it, but would tighten up the crop a bit to showcase the bee more effectively. It's a she, btw - pretty much every ant and bee you see is a female because the only ones that routinely leave the nest are workers and those are all female.
You think so? One male in the colony gets to have sex, then he dies. The rest, who were unsuccessful, are killed.
I quite like this shot as well - lovely colour. You may want to try a crop on the left side, just beyond the black area at lower left, that might make this image even stronger.

That's a wonderfully sharp image of a fine looking bee. I like Marko's crop suggestion as dropping the dark spot will remove it from being a bit of a distraction.
I like the new look better.
