An Interesting looking Duck

I took this picture this morning.
Looks like a Duck. I assume it is a Duck ??

Looks like a common Merganser to me ... yes, of the duck family.

Yes, it's a duck. It's a female merganser, probably a common merganser. The females of the 3 mergansers I'm familiar with look very similar.
