    Default Pole Dancer (NSFW) Nudity

Am new here. After getting booted / censored from all the major photo forums thought I'd try this one. Here is a sample of some of my 'alternative style' in HDR Hyper Real

Impressive work from many of you togs. I'm not a fine art tog. I'm a doc tog. But any way you slice it there is art in turning the snapshot into a photograph.

hmm this one is difficult. It's an interesting photo but I don't like the hdr effect to be honest.

I like the idea of the redneck stripper though

Well, some like the effect, some don't. It is like BW and other effects. Just a matter of taste.

Nothing to sell people on, either they like it or not.

I've gone over to hper real HDR for most of my street work. Will post a few more. Maybe they will 'grow' on you?

Interesting introduction slackcruster - I have to wonder what got you banned from every forum...

3 things for the most part were trouble.

    1 Nudes

2 Posting low res works from other togs to illustrate a post. Like doing book reviews or discussing techniques, etc. I've given up trying to help other togs for the most part. Sick of trying to teach others, having my hands tied with no ability to illustrate and then getting booted for my troubles.

3 Dissing film and not being a 'yes man' like on the rangefinder and large format forums.

With respect, Posting work from another photographer is a no no. It's a violation of copyright and you should not try to do this around here either.
Dissing film? Not going to even go there..there's no reason to do that around here either. We have a number of photographers around here that love film and I am one of them.

Basically you should try to blend in with the community that you are trying to join and if you can never blend in, then the community is not for you. This has nothing to do with being a yes man.

Nudity is an issue on some forums. I have no problem with nudity so long as it's clearly marked and it's posted sparingly.

We are a friendly bunch around here, and respect each other to a very high degree and we've all been around for a while and want our forum to continue to run smoothly. We don't bicker on this forum and we don't want to start. Please keep that in mind.

and i think that's all i got to say about that....hope that makes sense.

Hi slackercruster, and welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I am not so familiar with your your acronyms, so I have no idea what a "tog" is, or what NSFW stands for. So I cannot comment on that. I can, however, comment on your work. Different, for sure. Not so sure if it belongs in the "alternate photography" category, however. If I may quote the criteria: "Infrared photography - Polaroid transfers and emulsion lifts - Cyanotypes - If it's alternative post it here." So that is really what the understanding of "alternative" is on this board. Maybe your understanding of the category is a bit different. You say your "alternative style", and that is what it is: your style.

I would have just put the images into the regular category, "show your image", most HDR work or even modified work is shown there. Just a heads up.

I suppose I look at what it is that you, the photographer, is trying to show me, the audience. I base my comments on that, usually. So in looking at your image here I wonder what the intent is? Is it to turn a snapshot into a photograph and calling it "art"?

I like the processing of your image, just not sure what it is you want to say with it.

Great capture but the HDR doesn't work for me either. I would have maybe moved the pole to the right side. The bottom of the blue mat is distorted. The Mountain dew, bullwhip and the background make this image great.

Thanks, but it was not a set up shot. I could shoot from one side or another. But I don't touch a thing or move anything.

I never notioced the bullwhip till I got home! Would have liked to see what she used it for?
